Ruka has its own family park built around a snow tubing hill and magic carpet lifts, plus a network of ski-in, ski-out apartments with private saunas, so families can warm up without leaving their own front door. Both resorts make it easy to fill the rest of the day with husky rides, reindeer visits, and snowmobiling.
Finland's naturally gentle terrain makes it an easy place to learn, with rolling fells in place of steep alpine faces. Levi is Finland's top choice for a romantic trip, built around glass-roofed cabins and igloos designed for aurora viewing from bed. Many come with a private sauna or outdoor hot tub, so an evening can move easily from dinner to watching the sky through a glass ceiling. The resort's pace suits couples well, with quiet fell walks, husky and reindeer excursions built for two, and slopeside restaurants with an intimate feel.
Ylläs and Salla are Finland's strongest choices for cross-country skiing. Ylläs has the country's largest network, with around 300km of groomed track winding through forest, across frozen lakes, and over open fell, running through Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park and past two original Sámi villages, with wilderness cafés and warming huts dotted along the way. Salla offers a smaller but still substantial network, around 160km of trails through old-growth forest and rolling fells, running alongside Salla National Park, one of the country's newest protected areas.
Pyhä and Ruka both sit alongside dramatic national park landscapes. Pyhä lies inside Pyhä-Luosto National Park, one of Finland's oldest, with Finland's deepest gorge nearby and a history as a sacred site for the Sámi people. Ruka borders Oulanka National Park, home to the Karhunkierros Trail, Finland's most famous hiking route, which winds through canyons, rapids, and suspension bridges before ending right in the village.

Tout a parfaitement fonctionné - les transferts sont arrivés à l'heure et il y avait beaucoup de retours d'information tout au long du processus, ce qui vous donne confiance que les vacances se dérouleront sans problème.
Un service vraiment utile qui est beaucoup plus facile à utiliser que d'autres sites "tout compris". Il comble parfaitement le fossé entre une agence de voyage et la réservation du séjour par vous-même en ligne. J'utiliserai WeSki chaque fois que j'irai au ski à partir de maintenant.
Nous avons réservé un séjour au ski de dernière minute à Morzine via WeSki. Nous avions envisagé de réserver le séjour nous-mêmes, mais nous n'avons pas pu trouver un prix aussi avantageux que celui proposé par WeSki. L'entreprise a été super et nous n'avons rencontré aucun problème du début à la fin. Je passerai certainement de nouveau par eux pour réserver un autre week-end au ski.
