9,700 REVIEWS
Szczyrk Mountain Resort (SMR) sits in the Silesian Beskids on the slopes of Małe Skrzyczne (1,211 m/3,973 ft) and Wierch Pośredni (1,000 m/3,281 ft). Szczyrk itself offers over 23 km (14.3 mi) of runs, including 5 floodlit slopes, and you can ski 40 km (24.9 mi) in total with the joint pass covering Szczyrk Mountain Resort, COS Skrzyczne and Beskid Sport Arena. The core is the Szczyrk gondola base: a 10 person gondola, two 6 seat chairs, rentals, ticketing, a big car park, and quick food and après, all in one place. A powerful snowmaking system (100,000 m³ reservoir feeding 368 lances/guns) helps keep the surface consistent from early to late season.

Szczyrk, Poland

Expect wide, well-groomed pistes that weave through forest clearings to the valley. Services are close to the lifts (parking, rentals, ski school, and a ski kindergarten), so getting started is easy, and it’s simple to meet up for lunch.

Skiing in Szczyrk

Beginners: Plenty of easy mileage on gentle, well-marked blues, with ski school and a kids’ zone by the main lifts. Start lower in the forest, then work higher as confidence grows.

Intermediates: Link broad blues and steady reds across Szczyrk Mountain Resort, then expand to 40 km (24.9 mi) with the joint pass if you want longer variety days.

Advanced: You won’t find huge alpine steeps, but you’ll still find some punchy reds and a couple of true blacks.

Snowboarding: Modern lifts and wide pistes make for smooth carving. Night riding runs on two lit slopes under the gondola, handy when you want extra evening laps.

Families

Stress-free setup: parking at each base, rentals and ski school by the lifts, and a ski kindergarten for the little ones. Most runs are wide and well marked, so it’s easy to split by level and meet again without hassle.

Activities

Snow activities: Snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding, ski jumping

Non-skiing activities: Cultural attractions, New Year's Eve parties.

Szczyrk après ski

Après is casual and close. The chill zone under the gondola keeps serving after the lifts stop, perfect for a quick bite or a drink before heading into town.

Szczyrk restaurants

Make Restaurant Kuflonka your on mountain goal: big windows, Beskid panoramas, and a cozy mountain feel for soups, mains, and something sweet before the next lap. Down at the base, the gondola hub has fast, family-friendly options for quick turns between runs.
