A bit about Tignes

WONDERFUL (2,990 REVIEWS)

There’s no such thing as a ski ‘season’ in Tignes! This snow-sure resort, made of five alpine villages, maintains excellent snow year-round, so skiing is possible even during the summer months, due to its high-altitude slopes on the Grande Motte Glacier. Tignes is located on the western side of the Espace Killy ski area, which means you get to enjoy the glaciers, varied terrain, and great views. In the resort, you can find a variety of accommodations for every budget, a lively après-ski scene with live music events, bars, and restaurants. If you feel like reaching new heights, why not try heli-skiing or helicopter tours to find otherwise inaccessible, untouched powder. Fun fact, this resort spearheaded the concept of ski-in/ski-out accommodations.
