From Brides-les-Bains the Olympe gondola lifts you to Méribel in 25 minutes, where nursery areas sit alongside tree-lined blues and reds, and confident skiers can branch out to Courchevel or Val Thorens in a single day.
Beginners: Although Brides-les-Bains itself has no beginner terrain, it offers smooth access to the gentle learning zones of Méribel. After a scenic ride up the Olympe gondola, newcomers can find easy green runs and welcoming ski schools in the Altiport area, known for its wide, wooded slopes and relaxed pace. The gentle rhythm of these trails makes it ideal for those taking their first turns on skis.
Intermediates: This resort is a dream base for intermediates who want to explore far and wide. From the top of the Olympe gondola, you’ll land right in the heart of Méribel’s expansive blues and scenic reds. Confident skiers can cruise down long favourites like Sittelle or test their edge control on the rolling reds of Mont Vallon. The region's well-linked lift system makes crossing into neighbouring valleys both easy and rewarding.
Advanced: Strong skiers based in Brides-les-Bains can unlock some of the Three Valleys' steepest challenges. The former Olympic run “La Face” and the bump-filled “Les Bosses” black slope demand expert control, while narrow red chutes like Mauduit, once rated black, offer thrilling descents. Deep snow and varied terrain around Roc de Tougne and Mont Vallon ensure there’s no shortage of adrenaline.
Off-piste: With a local guide, experienced skiers can venture into legendary off-piste zones like the couloirs near Saulire or the quiet bowls above Saint-Martin. For a wilder feel, head toward Raffort or even out toward Courchevel’s Col de la Loze sidecountry. Brides' location means you can start your day exploring deep powder and still make it back down for a spa session by evening.
Snowboarding: Snowboarders staying in Brides-les-Bains are ideally placed to roam. The Méribel Valley alone features expansive pistes, great freeride terrain, and two distinct snowparks. DC Area 43 is a favourite among experienced riders for its massive kickers and halfpipe, while beginner-friendly features can be found in the Elements Park. Broad runs and open bowls make carving and cruising especially satisfying.
Despite its reputation as a spa town, Brides-les-Bains is a solid choice for families. Its quiet village setting, good-value accommodation, and gondola connection to Méribel’s family-friendly ski zones make it easy for everyone to enjoy the snow. From ski school areas to tobogganing and gentle walking trails, it’s a great base for relaxed, multi-generational trips.
Snow activities: Tobogganing, snowshoeing, winter-walking.
Non-skiing activities: Cinema, library, casino, spa & wellness.
Dining in Brides-les-Bains ranges from traditional Savoyard food to refined cuisine. Enjoy local favourites like fondue and raclette at La Maison de Marielle, or opt for something more upscale at La Table du Golf. La Fabrik and Ché La Rickette serve hearty alpine meals, while Restaurant Le Centre offers relaxed dining in a central setting. For an elegant touch, Le 26 pairs creative dishes with a refined setting.
Après-ski in Brides-les-Bains blends wellness and warmth with a sociable village atmosphere. Unwind at La Folie Douce or sip wine by the fire at the Wine Bar Bis “trop” savoyard. For a more festive night, visit Les Voutes du Parc or the Bar du Casino. Whether you're after a quiet drink or lively chatter, the resort offers a range of cosy, friendly spots to round off the day.

I usually book flights, transfers, hotel, ski rental and lift passes myself but this year used WeSki for a trip to Morzine. It was so much easier. Everything worked perfectly - transfers arrived on time and there was plenty of feedback throughout the whole process giving you confidence the holiday would go smoothly.
A really useful service that is so much easier to use than other 'all-inclusive' sites. It nicely bridges the gap between a travel agent and booking the trip yourself online. I will use WeSki every time I go skiing from now on.
We booked a late minute skiing trip to Morzine through we ski. We looked at booking the trip ourselves but could get anywhere near the price quoted by we ski. The company was excellent and we had no problems at all from start to finish. I would definitely use them to book another weekend skiing trip.
Seamless experience from start to finish. I was spending ages trying to sort out a weekend break and managed to do it with we ski in minutes and for the same price as booking it all up yourself. Flight, transfer and accommodation was all as expected and faultless.
