A bit about El Tarter

4.7/5
WONDERFUL (1,070 REVIEWS)
1,070 REVIEWS
Located in Andorra, El Tarter was formulated with extreme sports at its heart, with epic snowparks and downhill slopes that have hosted previous Skiing World Cups. However, if you're just starting out don't be put off; there is terrain suitable for all levels from bunny hill, wide blues and reds, to off-trail options for the freeride fans. As part of Andorra's biggest ski area, Grandvalira, there is a vast 120 miles of trails to explore with a free ski bus service running regularly between resorts so you can take full advantage. With fantastic kids circuits, non-ski activities and great après-ski spots there is something for everyone in this little laid-back town. You can end your day on the slopes dancing on the L'Abarset terrace listening to live music or enjoying some great grub at one of El Tarter's few restaurants. For more choice of food, bars and shops you can visit the nearby Soldeu.
