Borovets is one of the largest ski resorts in Bulgaria, providing a great ski experience for a bargain price. It consists of 37 miles of runs, with slopes suited to all ski abilities between three ski areas, Sitnyakovo, Yastrebets and Markudjik, all conveniently linked by ski lifts. The majority of the terrain is well suited to beginners and intermediates however, you'll find a small selection of black runs for the experts too. Many slopes are set among stunning alpine forests with lots of fun tree-lined routes to perfect your carving. Accommodation and lift tickets are cheaper than other European ski destinations so it's a great choice for skiers on a budget. The village has a lively atmosphere with a choice of traditional Balkan pubs, many après-ski spots and great food options. On your rest day, you can enjoy non-ski activities such as spa days, hot springs, bowling, horse riding and more.
