A bit about Bad Hofgastein

4.6/5
WONDERFUL (1,166 REVIEWS)
1,166 REVIEWS
The towns of Bad Hofgastein and Bad Gastein are linked by the Schlossalm–Angertal–Stubnerkogel ski area, which takes you up to about 8,812 feet. The high elevation means reliable snow all season, and there’s always a sunny spot to shush down. With a huge choice of groomed trails, backcountry (off-trail) powder to explore, terrain parks, and a slalom course, there’s something for everyone. In the beautiful Austrian alpine town, you’ll also find plenty of non-ski fun—like sampling local eats—and if you’re feeling brave, head to the suspension bridge (about 459 feet long) for incredible snowy mountain views.
