Avoriaz offers varied terrain from gentle slopes to competitive-level runs:

  • Bleue de Chavanette (Intermediate - Blue): A scenic alternative to the infamous Swiss Wall, offering panoramic views and accessible terrain.
  • Bleue du Fornet (Intermediate - Blue): Smooth, well-maintained piste ideal for practicing turns and building confidence.
  • Combe à Floret (Intermediate - Blue): Quiet and forested, with a gentle slope great for relaxed cruising.
  • Proclou (Beginner - Blue): A family-friendly piste that weaves through woodland and leads to the beginner area.
  • Prolays (Intermediate - Red): A fun, playful red run with some rolling features and consistent snow.
  • Combe de Machon (Expert - Black): Steep and narrow piste with natural snow conditions and minimal grooming.
  • Les Lanches (Expert - Black): Challenging and technical, recommended only for seasoned skiers.
  • Coupe du Monde (Expert - Black): Host to major competitions; steep, icy, and fast, expert terrain.
  • Lac d’Arare (Intermediate - Red): A sweeping piste with great views and wide turns, ideal for carving.
  • Jean Vuarnet (Intermediate - Red): Named after the Olympic champion, offering a steady gradient and good visibility.
  • Stade d’Arare (Intermediate - Red): Training ground for racers, this piste is well-maintained and often has hard-packed snow.
  • Crot (Expert - Black): Narrow and steep with challenging snow, true expert terrain.
