Skiing in Les Arcs

Beginners: Each altitude village has green runs on its doorstep, handy for first days. From Arc 1800, the long blue Belvédère lets novices explore tree-lined gentle terrain back to base.

Intermediates: Les Arcs is built for mileage: cruise reds from Col de la Chal to Peisey, lap the rolling blues of Arc 2000 or ski the full 7 km Aiguille Rouge red for 2,000 m of vertical.

Advanced & off-piste: Black pistes like the top section of Aiguille Rouge and the steep Bois de l’Ours drops suit experts. Guides lead to couloirs off the glacier and hidden powder in Malgovert’s trees.

Snowboarding: The Mille8 fun zone in Arc 1800 mixes jumps, rails and night riding. Wide pistes, chairlifts and varied off-piste earn Les Arcs its “home of snowboarding” tag.
